Consequences

What are the consequences of Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder (DSPD)? 

DSPD can result in daytime irritability in addition to poor school performance (in adolescents)1 and poor job performance, financial difficulty, and marital problems (in adults).2 Additionally, conflicts often arise within families in which a member suffers from DSPD.3
