Risk Factors

SRHS’ risk factors include a number of neuromuscular and chest wall disorders or abnormalities, including obesity-hypoventilation syndrome, amylotropic lateral sclerosis (ALS), spinal cord injury, post-polio syndrome, and kyphoscoliosis. Other risk factors include common respiratory disorders, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD).1
